För en tjej som köper färdiga pannkakor från närmaste butiken, är det lite extra lyxigt när man möter människor som bakar eget bröd, gör egna pannkakor som självklart toppas av hemmagjord sylt. 

Inbjudan till brunch hos vännen Emily kunde inte ha kommit mer lägligt. Tre veckor senare var jag äntligen frisk och dessutom händer det inte alltför ofta som tjejerna i den fantastiska tjejligan lyckas koordinera scheman och liv för att ses för en ordentlig brunch. För att fira packade jag med mig ett par flaskor av Richard Juhlins alkoholfria bubbel. Och med risk för att bli lite reklamig, så är alkoholfria vin verkligen inte min förstahandsval eftersom det alltför ofta smakar mer som gammal saft. MEN den här är faktiskt riktigt god och smakar som the real thing! 

Bordet dukades med godsaker som hemmagjorda scones och pannkaksmuffins som förvandlats till en ugnspannkaka, bananbröd och croissants. 

Det bästa med brunch, efter att äta alldeles för mycket, är ändå tjejsnacket och igår hoppade samtalsämnet från jobbuppdateringar till hur söt mini-versionen av Emily egentligen är och till det senaste skvallret. Det var en lagom mysig lördag i sällskap av tjejerna som spetsade till universitetslivet med vin och pubkvällar, parkhäng och bioträffar. Och fast att solen inte riktigt sken som den gör idag, kändes det fan som att den gjorde det!

For a girl who buys her pancakes at the nearest store it is a match made in heaven when she meets people who bake their own bread, make their pancakes and then top them off with some homemade jam. 

The invite to brunch could not have come at a better time. Three weeks later I am finally not sick anymore and furthermore it really is not too often that the girls in the infamous Girl League manage to coordinate schedules and lives to make room for a proper brunch-date. To celebrate that we had done it I brought a couple of bottles of non alcoholic bubbly from Richard Juhlin. And with the risk of a bit of commercial, though non alcoholic wine usually isn’t my first, second or third choice as it too often rather tastes more like lemonade gone bad, THIS one was really really good. Almost like the real thing. 

Now the best part of brunch, besides eating way too much has to be the chance to girl talk and yesterday the subject of conversation jumped from job updates to exactly how cute our hostess little girl is and to the latest gossip. 

After a toast with a glass of pink bubbly we continued to devouring the brunch table set with homemade scones, pancake muffins, banana bread and croissants. It was a perfectly lovely Saturday together with the girls who made my time at university the best ever. And though the sun wasn’t shining like today, it sure as f-ck did feel like it was.
