Event 2.0 - The World Water Week
I lördags klev jag officiellt in i mitt nya kontrakt och den spännande rollen som Projekt koordinator.
Så någon kväll framöver ska jag korka upp flaskan Pol Roger som ligger på nedkylning och fira. Men i väntan på bubblet blev det på lördagen ett mini-firande av slag med vännen. Tillsammans sprang vi till IKEA och shoppade varsin säng, sedan blev det Ikea-klassikern: köttbullar med potatismos. <3
Underligt att det för blott tre veckor sedan var ett 2.0 event - även känt som World Water Week.
Efter två intensiva månader á la 12 timmar-dagar som standard, var det på lördagen 26 augusti äntligen tid att rigga upp datorer och skrivare på City Conference Center. Lördagen till ära fick jag njuta av en ljuvlig sovmorgon till klockan 7 och sedan spendera lite kvalitetstid med mejlboxen på kontoret innan jag anslöt mig till resten av PCO-gänget på plats.
Dagen efter var det invigning och tillsammans med B-com drottningen, Elin, Projektledaren, Helena och Hotel managern utgjorde vi teamet som hade hand om registreringen av över 3000 deltagare.
Med första stora dagen framför oss hade vi varsitt rum bokat på ett hotell i närheten. Efter en lång dag kantad av skrivare som strejkade och snabb problemlösning av den fantastiska projekt koordinatorn Iga, var det obeskrivligt härligt att ladda upp inför en intensiv vecka med en middag.
Priset för Veckans höjdpunkt gick till morgonen när registreringssystemet la ned en kvart innan deltagare började droppa in och jag och kollegan i en timme freestyle:ade med B-com drottningen som live support (springandes fram och tillbaka mellan oss).
Lite random fakta från World Water Week:
- Koppar kaffe som hann kallna = 29
- Nyinköpta underkläder = 7 (försök tvätta när du jobbar 14 timmar om dagen. C’est pas possible)
- Antal personer som först sveptes på tinder och sedan sågs vid något tillfälle = 18 #AllaHarTinder
On Saturday I officially stepped into my new contract and into the exciting role of Project Coordinator at MCI. One of these nights I fully intend to cork up the bottle of Pol Roger that is on chill and properly celebrate. In anticipation of the bubbly the Saturday resulted in a spontaneous mini-celebration with Mary. Together we went bed-shopping at IKEA, needless to say the tour was rounded off with the Ikea-classic: meatballs and mashed potatoes. <3
Odd that it was only three weeks since event 2.0 - also known as the World Water Week. After two intense months pulling 12 hour days as a standard, on Saturday the 26th of August, it was finally time to set up computers and printers at the City Conference Center. Being Saturday and all I got to sleep in and all the way to 7 before it was time to spend some quality time with the mailbox at the office before I joined the rest of the PCO-team on location.
The following day it was D-day and together with the Helena, the B-com queen, Elin, the Project leader and the Hotel manager, we were the Team handling the registration of over 3000 participants.
With the first big day still ahead of us we each had a reservation at a hotel nearby. After a long day lined with printers going on strike and quick problem solving by the fantastic project coordinator Iga, it was indescribably delicious to prepare for an intense week with a dinner with the team.
The price for the Highlight of the Week went to the morning when the registration system went offline 15 minutes before the delegates started to come and me and Helena went into full problem solving mode with the B-com Queen on live-support (running back and forth between us).
Random facts from the World Water Week:
- Cups of coffee that got cold before the first sip = 29
- New pieces of underwear = 7 (you try doing laundry while doing 14 hour days. C’est pas possible)
