What he said: Noam Chomsky
In a modern day reality when the equal rights of people are being invaded by those the illusion that they can dictate what is right and what is wrong. Noam Chomsky is a breath of fresh air.
Noam Chomsky. Whenever the Trump quotes and insanity just goes to far, there is one person who with his oh so articulate mind, makes the world make sense again.
Personally, right or wrong, I stay away from the news in the Post-Trump era. But as Trump was elected I was overwelmed and destroyed and the following months consumed news and at some point found Chomsky saying:
"We have to remember that humanity has suffered through worse than Trump. We have been through worse han May and these terrifying right forces that are making their way through the world. We will get through this. The most important thing is to ensure that the following generations aren't forced to look back, the same way we look back at the voters in 1930's Germany, and think: let's not make the same mistakes they did.
We must build a world with the following generations in mind. Instead of only ourselves.
People have fought for equal rights of people of all colors. For equal rights of women. For women's right to vote, for control over their own bodies. For people's right to choose who they want to love. For same sex marriage. It is more important than ever to defend these rights. To safe quard the rights of our neighbors, those who are differenc from you. Because the next person whose rights stand in line to be violated may be you, and then you will want someone who will stand up for your rights."
