Let's (not) get physical

There has been a lot of talk about Zoom here on Snowcap. Which would have you believe that I am someone who fills every waking minute in the company of friends. But truth be told, this whole ”avoiding-physical-meetings”-thing could not have suited my life any better. Cause even if I do love meeting people, and sure, at certain periods have even had the habit of planning a ridiculous number of coffee-dates, wine-dates, movie-dates, walking-dates and spontaneous hang outs - or physical meetings as they are referred to post-corona - I am the queen of finding pleasure in my own company (nothing sexual intended). I have at times even inspired friends to spend more time in their own company and enjoy it to the fullest.
One of my favorite things about London (besides living in a big city where at any given moment there were million things to do and of course those daily outings to my favorite Waterstone were I would stroll amongst the books and then sip a glass of wine while reading Sylvia Plath), was after all being there alone. Not saying that I don’t love friends and family but London was, if I am to be completely honest: a vacation from my everyday life.
So besides studying (and yes, the plan is to do some studying one of these days!), and having those sporadic zoom-dates with friends and family which I have planned, these upcoming weeks and months will be spent pulling out my very best Han solo to-do out of my sleeve.
For whoever is curious they go something like this.
Sara’s best to-do’s - let’s not get physical edition
1. Make a strong cup of coffee and drink it sitting on the front porch while reading a book as the sun sets
2. Read the old man and the sea (have heard from a safe source that it is one of the best books ever written)
3. Write a whole hell of a lot on the blog and other writing projects
4. Enjoy an Italian night all by my self: eating mozzarella and tomatoes, drinking red wine and reading Nora Roberts’ The Villa
5. Go for long walks and mix it up with pilates (screw if beach 2020 doesn’t happen, I am aiming at rehabing myself and going for a long sought after jog year 2021!)
